How we assign interpreters

The standard we hold ourselves to, and what happens on the days we cannot meet it.

This post is sample content written while building the site. It is not a real event and will be replaced.

Here is the question we are asked most often, written down properly: “who will my interpreter be?”

Dasung Medi-Service applies two rules.

First, we assign only interpreters with experience in medical work. General tourism interpretation and medical interpretation are different jobs. An explanation of anaesthesia, recovery time or possible side effects changes meaning if a single word slips.

Second, wherever possible we assign an interpreter of your own nationality. Speaking the same language and speaking with the same instincts are not the same thing.

There are days we cannot meet the second rule — schedules collide, or every interpreter in that language is already assigned. When that happens we tell you before the booking is confirmed and let you decide whether to move the date or proceed with a different interpreter. We do not substitute quietly.
